New for 2012, Black Diamond designed the Ember as an on piste, versatile, all mountain ski for women. I demoed it with both alpine and tele bindings. For alpine, it was a fun ski overall across turn lengths and in all conditions. It could handle everything. Stiff but very smooth.
Dislikes
Poppy and playful, when getting into aggressive, longer radius turns, the ski felt impatient underfoot. While it didn't blow me away on performance, I may have been forcing the ski too much and would certainly recommend others give it a try.
